So you want to submit a CS40 Finance Request...here's how:

1. Complete the information in the document found below and submit it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The Director of Finance will get back to you within two business days in acknowledging your request with any potential comments and concerns. Keep in mind we fund events that bring a tangible benefit to the residents of the South 40.

2. Meet with the Finance Board (which presently meets Thursdays at 9:30pm). Finance Requests must be submitted by Monday at 10pm in order for the Finance Board to hear you on the Thursday of the same week. Otherwise, your request will be heard the following week. If your Finance Request moves on....

3. Present in front of Assembly (which presently meets Tuesdays at 10pm in Mudd Multipurpose).

4. Receive any money that Assembly votes to give to you.

There are a few conditions in making a Finance Request:

1. You may request up to $1000 one time during the year or up to $500 once each semester. (So, if you request $700 during the Fall Semester, you cannot request $300 during the Spring Semester. However, if you request $400 during the Fall Semester, you CAN request up to $500 during the Spring Semester.) Make your request at the very minimum two weeks before your event takes place. Remember you must meet both Thursday and the following Tuesday to present your request, and you need adequate time to do so.

2. Keep in mind that CS40 pays close attention to whether your event is truly need-based. If you represent a Student Union affilated group and have not asked SU for money, there had better be substantial justification. The same applies for any student group that has not sought other methods of funding an event. If we have funded you in the past, this does not mean you are guaranteed to be funded again.

3. The CS40 dome must be place on all your advertisements if CS40 funds you any money. No exceptions.

4. CS40 does not fund alcohol.

5. CS40 money must be specifically used for what the money is allocated towards. If any abuse of your funded money takes place, dire consequences will result.
